Plot:	After stepping in for another singer at the last minute, Hsiao-Yun becomes an overnight sensation. However, the success starts having detrimental effects on her relationship, brings the unwanted attention of an influential backer of her show.
Overview:	The villainess from "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" in one of her early non-kung-fu roles shows she can carry a tune as well. Cheng Pei-pei plays Hsiao-yun, a young singer forced to choose between love and a career. After stepping in for another singer at the last minute, Hsiao-yun becomes an overnight sensation. However, the success starts having detrimental effects on her relationship with a pianist and she must now also deal with the unwanted attention from an influential backer of her show.
