| Overview: | A blind pianist overhears a mysterious conversation in a bar. The next day his girlfriend is murdered. The only clue: a yellow silk scarf. This Italian thriller by the great Sergio Pastore is along the lines of Dario Argento and Mario Bava's early work – even if the movie's most famous scene is ‘borrowed' from Hitchcock's legendary shower sequence. Here, as the assassin's razorblade slashes the unfortunate victim's flesh, the white walls of the shower are painted red. The camera lingers as blood and water trickle over the now lifeless body and down the drain. A scene worthy of the best Tarantino! Also featuring a haunting soundtrack by Manuel De Sica whose jagged melodies are reminiscent of the best Morricone!
