 | | | | A different twist to the character than the first "Azumi". Still a well done movi if you enjoyed the first one. I watched it more for the sword and fight scenes than the drama. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | I loved the first "Azumi", and although this film does have its moments within some of the action sequences, it falls short: too many "convenient" plot devices clutter the landscape, and villains seem more cartoonish than ever. "Azumi" fans will likely see this anyway, but don't have your expectations too high. | | AGREE? | READER COMMENTS | AUTHOR | | Y | Disappointing after the phenomenal first entry in the series, but still enjoyable. | TheDenizen |

| A very bad sequel to a classic samurai flick. The actors got away in the first "Azumi" because Kitamura shot the film with style and captured the action in good shots and good editing. This however shows that these actors and actresses probably never used a sword before and is very sloppy. The director of this sequel was involved with "Ninja Scroll" and he clearly rips off his own anime by giving one of the villains the same boomerang weapon as the one in "Ninja Gaiden". Tak Sakaguchi is wasted in this film as a dog-dressing villain, and the script was horribly executed, though there probably wasn't much to work with anyways. Her boyfriend, whom she slashed in the original, takes up a role as another person in this film and takes forever to die later on in the film. The director TRIED to make his death embracing, but it was stupid, long, and made me laugh. Calling this sequel horrible isn't enough. It's beyond garbage and shows why there are films that don't need sequels. |

 | | | | Nowhere near as fun as the first -- which stands as one of my favorite all time Japanese films. Kitamura's style is sorely lacking and the villains are weak and uninspired. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | "Azumi 2" is the sequel to one of my favorite fighting movies ever. In this chapter "Azumi" and Nagara continue in on the path to complete their mission. After Nagara is injured, Azumi goes to town for food, where she meets a group of bandits that eventually join her. She's also joined by a ninja to help her complete her mission. There are some new cool villains and a few old ones as well. Basically, if you like the original, you will most likely like this one as well. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | Excellent sequel to the original. The storyline where they added a character that looked exactly like Azumi's old love interest was weak, but it doesn't matter all that much because what we want to see is Azumi mow down those that stand in her path anyway. If you liked the first flick, I highly recommend this one too. | | AGREE? | READER COMMENTS | AUTHOR | | N | For me this sequel left me flat, it doesn't live up to the hype that I received from emails and trailers. | DarkHumour |

 | | | | This movie isn't as good as the first one, as it is obviously limited by a signifiacantly smaller budget. However, it still delivers some stylish sword fighting action and lots of pouting and posing from the female stars. Worth a look. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | When I first watched Azumi, I was blown away and was left excited and eager to see the second film. Now that I have seen it, the first movie is better; but this movie had its good points. I think my expectations were set too high. Still I enjoyed it. The bad guys are cool. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |
