Picture: An excellent print that looks outstanding in the sunny, summer scenes as well as the later winter ones. The colour palette is extensive with an impressive range of tones and contrast throughout.

Sound: Dolby Digital EX/DTS ES Japanese soundtracks with English and Chinese subtitles (removable). When a film is so reliant on the resonance of its soundtrack, the audio on the DVD needs to be superb. Thankfully the 'Swing Girls' utilises the more advanced Dolby and DTS sound mixes which even sound good on just a standard 5.1 system. The music blasts through the rear speakers and adds a significant atmosphere to this fine film.
