| A pretty bad film, considering the fact that this movie had a big and interesting cast that was wasted due to the weak script and almost unwatchable editing. The action scenes were badly edited and weak, the movie tried to pack too much in a short run time, and is it just me or has anyone noticed how much posing is done in the film? This movie feels like a photo shoot since the actors pose like every 5 or 10 minutes. Even the action scenes are comprised of heavy posing, especially the fight scene between Sammo and the military guy. I would've given it a zero, but the film wasn't completely horrible since it offered a fair amount of action and a funny cameo from Gordon Liu. The only reason Dragon Dynasty put this film out on DVD is because Bey Logan was a producer on the film, so I'm guessing he had distributation rights to the movie so decided to advertise it as a movie that seemed good. Not horrible, but a wasted effort. |

 | | | | Considering the all-star cast, this film could have and should have been a lot better. I think the director tries to do a little too much with the characters. You have a crack team of police specialists, led by a reluctant Sammo Hung, going up a against a team of trained terrorists, led by Heo Jun-Ho and Michael Biehn. To me the director tries too hard to get the audience involved with the main characters of both groups. He uses a lot of slow motion and glitzy MTV-inspired flashbacks to tell the various stories of the characters. There is plenty of action but it could have been done better. The biggest bright spot is the acting of Heo Jun-Ho, and the two fight scenes with Sammo Hung! This and the uninspired scenes of Maggie Q as a sniper for the enemy, equal up to about three stars. Decent police drama that cannot quite pull all its pieces together. | | AGREE? | READER COMMENTS | AUTHOR | | Y | I'm conflicted whether to give a Y or an N. The veteran Chinese performers are good (I can't say that of the American), but the younger are less than pale reflections of them. I don't like most of the models turned actors who confuse posing with acting. | Jeffrey Frawley | | N | not a 3 star pic. | JV47842 |

 | | | | Oh man, the story of this film was just terrible, I cannot believe that it was even made. The one good thing about this film is that it ends, and even the ending will piss you off because it is so corny. Stay away from this film PLEASE!! For the love of God, stay away. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | Maybe it's supposed to be the Hong Kong version of the "Naked Gun" series. "Dragon Squad" is a waste of time! Is it supposed to be a spoof of Hong Kong cop thrillers because that is how the movie is played---with an ensemble cast and crew including cult icon Micheal Biehn from "Aliens". The blame could go to the writer/director of the flick, Daniel Lee, who also made "Star Runner". "Dragon Squad" is a waste of talent from everybody. There was a lot of action but it's been done before and it has been done better by other movies in this genre, such as "SPL" or even the "Police Story" franchise. | | AGREE? | READER COMMENTS | AUTHOR | | Y | Daniel Lee is like the Uwe Boll of the Asian cinema | Black Belt Ninja |

 | | | | Not a fantastic story, and the camerawork a bit choppy like a music video, but very stylish. Plenty of action and some seriously heavy looking sniper rifles. Very entertaining and a great fight near the end with Sammo Hung which had me on the edge of my seat--plus Maggie Q's in it, what more could you want? I really enjoyed it. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |
