Picture: Even for a new film, this is a superb transfer with exceptional sharpness and impressive contrast levels. Skin-tones look terrific with subtle textures and hues coming through very well. A fine looking DVD.

Sound: DTS/5.1/2.0 Korean or 5.1 Cantonese soundtracks with English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese subtitles (removable). Both the DD 5.1 and DTS tracks are more than adequate for the film. The whole surround set-up is rarely pushed, but the soundtrack and dialogue are crisp and clear.

Extras: Firstly there is the rather wacky 'Marathon' towel that comes with the disc set. On the extras disc (none of the menu is in English) is a very good 'Making Of' which runs for 45 minutes or so but is not subtitled in English. Then there's five deleted scenes that each feature a short explanation from the director - again not subtitled though. Six short features about the inspiration for this film are present - very interesting, but again difficult to follow without subtitles. Also on the disc is a photo gallery, footage from the premier and other 'Behind The Scenes' shorts. Interestingly there are two short dramas from the director with explanations from him. Overall, this 2-disc set is very impressive despite the absence of English subtitles.
