 | | | | "Bang Rajan: The Legend of The Village Warriors" tried to look epic but didn't succeed. What I did like in the movie were the brutal battle scenes, but during those scenes there were too many special effects--which the film could use little of. The cover of the box says Oliver Stone loves this movie; I wish I could see what he sees in it. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | This movie is kind of an epic adventure that was apparently based on a true story. The movie does contain some big battle sequences that were pretty well filmed. However, the down time in-between these battles had me looking for the fast forward button. The love story didn't quite work for me and I felt myself looking for something more out of the story. The vastly outnumbered villagers taking on the big army in a last stand should have created a lot of tension and emotion. But, somehow it just didn't pull me in. Maybe I'm just too used to the melodrama that is so prevalent in the Korean movies I watch. At any rate, if you're looking for big battle sequences, by all means check this out. But, if you're looking for an engaging story (ala Braveheart), you probably won't be satisfied. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | Not quite sure why so many people are sleeping on this film, but i gotta say it's pretty damn good. Good plot, good acting and all kinds of blood spewing forth. Plus, one of the main characters has a naughty mustache that simply rules! It's OK, y'all don't hear me tho. Like that one time I was all "Yo, Twins Effect 2 sucks balls," and you were all like, "Naw, the TWINS are in it!" Now look at you, with a DVD that smells like balls all on top of your TV set. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |
