Overview:
Sung-Min lives with his wife and young daughter in a brand new apartment block in a new satellite town outside Seoul. But one day his wife disappears without trace. Soon after, Sung-Min tells a psychiatrist that he is suffering from lapses of memory and nightmares. Driving home, he passes a wrecked car and sees a woman whose face has been disfigured pulled from the crash. He becomes convinced that something terrible has happened to his wife. He entrusts his daughter to the care of his wife's sister and her husband. Sung-Min's wife wakes on a deserted street in the city. Her mind is a blank: she has no idea who or where she is. Inside her bag she finds some scraps of paper and spots a laundry receipt. She suspects the customer's telephone number on the receipt belongs to her. She makes several calls but they are never answered. She sees a young girl going home from school, and a chord is struck in her memory. She tries to follow the girl, but loses her. Finally she searches through the phone directory in a phone booth and finds an address in the new town of Suji. After a terrifying encounter with a taxi driver, she ends up walking most of the way to Suji through the night. Finally she reaches what she half-remembers is the door of her apartment. She nervously enters, hoping to reclaim her memories...
