In 1979, noted Italian master of horror Dario Argento ("Suspiria", "Tenebre") presented "Zombi" to European audiences--his re-edited version of George A. Romero's "Dawn Of The Dead", the masterpiece that Roger Ebert called "one of the best and brilliantly crafted horror films ever made".

Argento's vision delivers a radically different movie than Romero's original cut, removing the film's "American" humor to make it more of an intense action shocker and replacing the "muzak" soundtrack with a savage score by legendary rock band Goblin ("Suspiria", "Deep Red"). This deluxe edition of "Zombi"--now available for the first time ever in America as a single disc--is presented in head-blasting 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound and packed with a flesh-ripping array of international extras.
