"Initial D" is a flick for the fans of "Initial D". For me I'm not a fan, but what I did like was the pure goofiness of the flick. It kept me entertained, so good job on that. But sadly the racing scenes get repetative because they all look the same. Though it was fun to watch Anthony Wong being a clueless man. 1 star for this movie; it has a nice cast but that's all it really has. The car scenes were boring but this flick is for the fans.

This must be the best "carmovie" I've ever seen. It blows "fast and the furious" off the road. To all of you out there who likes carmovies, swatch this one. All stunts are real and made by professionals, not made in a studio with CGI. Thats nice for a change. I have read at different places that some of the acting were lousy. I can't complain. I think they did good. I specially like Bunta "Tofuman", my daughter adores Ry, both for acting and looks hehe. And the cars, jummy. I favourite is the FC.

This movie is a must-see

This movie is only for true fans of the anime. If you're not a fan or are unfamiliar with the anime (like me), you'll probably be pretty damn bored. The story is faithful to the original material and the characters are portrayed pretty accurately. The acting was surprisingly good. However I found the racing scenes to be pretty dull when they should have been the most exciting part. In place of the CG cars (like in the anime), they used real cars with stunt dirvers which was not that exciting. In fact, I found them just boring. The CG races on "The Legend of Speed" were more effective. Though it's not terrible, this movie is strictly for fans and car enthusiasts.
