ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:
Born in Seoul in 1971, Song Il-gon graduated from Seoul Institute of Art and continued his studies at Polish National Film School in Lodz. His short films "The Dream of the Clowns" and "Liver and Potato" earned critical recognition. His latest short film, "The Picnic" (1999), won the Grand Prize at Cannes. "Flower island" is his debut feature film.
