Plot:	After a rivalry between two gangs escalates to new levels, one of the gangs hires a Mainland assassin (Daniel Wu), who seeks his prey in the crowded streets of HK's Mongkok district with the help of a street-wise hooker (Cecilia Cheung). Overview:	Daniel Wu ("Cop On A Mission", "New Police Story", "House Of Fury") and Cecilia Cheung ("Running On Karma", "The Promise") both gave electrifying, award-worthy performances in this nail-bitingly intense actioner directed by Derek Yee ("Lost In Time", "Full Throttle"), winner of Best Screenplay and Best Director at the 2005 Hong Kong Film Awards. Mainland China hitman Lay (Wu) sneaks into Hong Kong's seedy Mongkok district to kill a local gang leader. He unexpectedly saves and befriends Dan Dan (Cheung), a prostitute who also becomes his guide to Mongkok's dense urban jungle layout. Hot on Lay's trail is inspector Milo, who is determined to capture Lay before he kills his target. Nominated for 12 awards at the 2005 Hong Kong Film Awards, "One Nite In Mongkok" is a gritty, uncompromising noir action thriller, proclaimed by critics as one of Hong Kong's best films of 2004.
