• HK version is scored by Chris Babida. The music in the US version is rescored by Stephen Endelman.
• (HK version)In Cantonese with some English (such as Jackie laughing aloud, then saying,"NO!").
• (US version)Some new sound effects. Dubbed in English, as usual.
• The Cantopop songs sung by Jackie in the HK version are replaced with instrumentals by Endelman in the US cut.
• US version is heavily cut and re-edited with a new opening/closing credits sequence.

Cuts and changes:

• Jackie/Asian Hawk uses a cardboard cutout of a wild animal to scare a native.
• When Jackie refuses "punishment" after drinking holy water, a fortune hunter similar to the Asian Hawk taken into captivity by natives, yells at Jackie, "Are you trying to get out of taking my place?"
• A scene with Jackie meeting Elsa (Eva Cobo de Garcia) and Momoko (Shoko Ikeda) on the streets of Spain is cut.
• The scene where Adolph and his men execute Jackie's guides is omitted. The footage of Jackie finding his dead guides is left in.
• (Cut)Bears invade a picnic.
• Momoko's scorpion is named Ding Dong in the HK cut and Ding Ding in the US cut.
• The lewd scene in the desert where Jackie is trying to give water to his three sidekicks, while trying to hide the water pouch from two Middle Eastern stereotypes/comic reliefs ("How does thirst turn to lust?"), is cut out.
• A black mercenary does the moonwalk and some breakdancing moves when the antagonists find the gold.
• Jackie fishes from his jeep as it floats on water.
• (Cut)A gwailo mercenary (Lyn) asks Jackie a question and he[Chan] laughs aloud, then abruptly replies,"NO!" (This scene is used in Dimension's trailer, but not their version of the film)
• Bits of action of trimmed here and there (such as Jackie spinning through a railing, Ada[Carol "DoDo" Cheng] trying to cling onto her towel during the hotel scene, Jackie and Vincent Lyn fighting in the wind tunnel, etc.).
