It is a rich and insightful look at "ordinary" lives unfolding over the short time span of one autumnal Saturday morning. Interwoven with the skill of a master tailor, "The River" carries us in and out of the lives of these fascinating characters as each of them is forced to consider significant and courageous leaps of faith.
