Not as insanely berserk as the other entries in the series but still enjoyable, and as disrespectful as the other films. The movie is more interested in the plot than the general craziness of the previous two, but you do get a good taste of everything from his house of traps to his interesting interrogation techniques of the shapely women--this time many noble women.
This entire film series is very fun because of how much Hanzo sticks his nose up at the wealthy nobility of the Edo period, which is a good idea of the general attitude of the mid-70s in Japan. |
