Rokuro Mochizuki's direction is outstanding, and Yoshio Harada gives a more thoughtful and nuanced performance than he has in years. The plot is quite similar to Mochizuki's earlier "Another Lonely Hitman" - another very fine film, but a few years of experience and the selection of Yoshio Harada, a much older actor than the earlier film's Ryo Ishibashi, as the lead make this a more fully-realized film.
