 | | | | Korean movie about an investigative reporter who's suffering a bad head trauma due to a car accident. Beautifully and meticulously shot, lit and framed, Spider Forest tries hard to reel the viewer in to a Hitchcockian psycho-thriller of sorts, but the narrative is just too damn convoluted to become really gripping. With a creepy forest, a jigsaw storyline that seems to meander all over the place, acceptable yet somewhat bland acting, and impressive cinematography, the movie reminded me of my rich uncle's yacht: impressive but ultimately only eliciting profound indifference. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |
