Overview:	On the twelfth night after they met, Si and York Ching were trading sad stories over a drunk. Surprisingly, Si asked York Ching to marry him, hoping they could support each other and start a new life together. In a dazed moment, York Ching agreed to marry Si. Maybe they both realized that love, just like life, is unpredictable. So they like to take a gamble, hoping to win. What they have to face now is how to repay the loan sharks. It would have been so easy to settle this based on Si's well respected reputation among his fellow gangsters. But there is a gangster, Hei Choi (Chun Ho), whose face was once shot by Si. The scar on his face was a disgrace to him. Even though he was forced to settle with Si under the pressure of the organization, but deep down in his heart he is waiting for a chance to get even. After the wedding, Si and York Ching formed a happy family and tried to rebuild their business together. Si has decided to repay all the debt and then retired from the organization so that they can live a normal life in peace. They were very much in love even though they were poor. They shared their happiness and sadness together. Very soon York Ching became pregnant. Just when they were happily waiting for the new life to be born, York Ching was kidnapped by Hei Choi. One of Si's men, Fai, was severely beaten trying to save York Ching.
