DVD: NTSC, Region 0

The disc comes in a carton case with the silly, upturned Nishioka, the construction-worker ghost face on the cover, and then all of that repeated in the usual plastic case. The film's TV origin is visible in the 4:3 aspect ratio: the image is passable for what was obviously filmed on video. The sound comes in dts Dolby digital Surround 5.1. and it's in Japanese and Cantonese, with Chinese and English subtitles. What is especially infuriating about the presentation is that there are no credits whatsoever: no cast, no crew mentioned, either in the (non-existent) credits for the series, or as a disc supplement. Only two directors' names are mentioned on the box: Norio (Ring 0) Tsuruta, and Takashi (Grudge) Shimizu -- but, apparently, Shimizu's story is not even among the 8 selected on this DVD! This is only one more proof of the lack of care and respect for customers that everything about this DVD embodies, so my advice is: stay clear off it!
