I actually enjoyed the sound effects and silliness of the dub of the original non-Tarantino release (on VHS) better than the this remaster. Other than that personal preference, the overall sound quality and lip-syncing is superior on this version. You'll enjoy either.

The US release has been cut by about 8 minutes (most of the more violent bits were trimmed to obtain a milder PG-13 rating).
