The only thing I give props for in this film is the fantasy appearances. It's one of the best fantasy films I've ever seen, and though there is only one fighting scene, it was well choreographed and one of Stephen Chow's best action sequences out of all his films. The intro of having the Gods of Wind, Thunder, Rain, and Lightning create a storm was well thought of. All of the characters are vivid; each and every character made grand entrances to introduce themselves in the film. Anita Mui came on looking like a true goddess, very colorful and mystical as well as the beautiful Maggie Cheung making her entrance of fame riding into the streets of the town. Stephen Chow could've put more effort and action in destroying the evil demon... It is absolutely a beautiful work of art. |
