Stephen Chow’s summer 1993 comedy was released even as his own hit Flirting Scholar was still in cinemas. It was released the same day as the Hollywood special effects juggernaut that changed Hong Kong box office forever, Jurassic Park, yet still managed to pull in decent numbers. Director Johnnie To helmed three other films that year, including The Heroic Trio and its sequel, The Executioners.
