A pretty standard 70s kung fu flick, and the movie could definitely use more of super kicker Tan Tao Liang, who shines in every fight scene he is in.

This film caught me by surprise, I never knew it existed!! Similar to Chi Kuan Chun's Shaw Shaolin films with Cheng Cheh, it retains a lot of those elements.

I am feeling charitable and giving this film 3 stars. The editing was criminally bad, entire conversations were missing, and important chunks of fight scenes! On the plus side, it has Chi Kwan-Chun, playing Hu Huiqian as usual. The fight scenes that aren't totally chopped up are good, with Chi demonstrating his signature Hung Gar five animals to good effect. Nothing new in the plot or acting department, but worth a watch.

Good kung fu movie with an overly familiar storyline, but the excellent choreography more than makes up for the well trodden plot.

I really loved to watch this rare kung fu movie. Good actors, excellent fight scenes and story. Highly recommended.

A decent Shaolin vs. Wutang/Ching flick. Chi Kuan Chun is in top form as always against the bad guys. Tan Tao Liang makes an appearance as an "undercover" Wu Tang fighter who is on a mission to infiltrate Shaolin and get rid of Chi Kuan Chun.

There are lots of action sequences, but overall the film didn't really break any new ground (at least not for me). I will say that, for some reason, I felt Chi Kuan Chun is grittier/more intense in this film than most films I've seen of him.

This movie was awesome and so was the storyline. The super kicker befriends his Shaolin target before brutalizing him with hardcore kicking action just at the right moment.

Here is a great moment to see Tan Tao Liang playing an evil kung fu master hunting down the Shaolin rebels. He cunningly befriends the rebels before picking his moment to unleash his kicks on his surprised victims. Chi Kuan Chun displays his five animal styles to great effect, to restore the justice in the town.

A fantastic film, a must buy.

One of the best lost kung fu action films featuring two great stars.

This movie is highlighted at the end by an excellent fight scene between Chi Kuan Chun of Shaw Brothers fame and kick master Tan Tao Liang. It is worth it for this fight alone!

Excellent movie overall. Average plot but excellent fights. Both Chi Kuan Chun and Tan Tao Liang display excellent techniques.

This movie has some excellent fight scenes, but I was lukewarm about the plot.

Anti-Ching revolutionaries battling the evil Manchus has been done many times before, but I still admire watching Chi Kuan-chun's excellent martial arts skills, and his duel with Dorian Tan was top-notch action. Unfortunately (warning: plot spoiler) he does die in the end.

This is a very good film. A little slow in the middle, but the beginning and ending really kick-ass. It was great to see Tan Tao Lin and Chi Kwan Chun fight each other, usually they are both good guys. This one of the few films where they appear together. Overall a good flick
