RANT:
This is probably the single most offensive product we've ever come across. It is readily apparent that whoever produced this set not only has a complete lack of respect for these films and for you the viewer, but must also have a deep-rooted hatred for same. Here are but a few reasons why we feel this set should be widely acknowledged as *the most* sleazy martial arts DVD compilation of all time:
  • The titles are listed in random order on the back of the set, with NO indication of which titles are on which side of which disc.

  • There are as many as three different titles used for each film--a different one for the case, the DVD menu, and the title screen. Come on! Can't you get your shit together enough to at least pick one title per film for your own DVD release!?

  • The synopses--and we use that term very loosely--on the back of the case are nothing but nonsense and ridiculous doubletalk. And each "synopsis" ends with some mindless over-hyped statement like "an absolute classic!", "the greatest ninja action ever shown in the world!", "her best action role ever"!

  • The technical quality of some of these films is literally THE WORST we've EVER seen. Granted, a couple are "fair", but a few are atrociously bad, with wildly distorted and loud audio, sometimes changing pitch up and down as if done intentionally as a joke, blurry picture that jumps and has horrendous VHS tracking problems, etc. It's as if these films were recorded using a hand-held broken camcorder shooting at a TV screen while the films were being broadcast.
Video Asia: you should be ashamed. This is a total disgrace and an insult.
