One of the few genuinely erotic films that manages to avoid stumbling into the realm of the sleazy. Everyone in the film does an exceptional job, giving the movie a feeling of legitimacy that most other erotic movies lack. Definitely the finest example of what NC-17 should look like. If you're in the mood for an excellent period picture that has an honest portrayal of sex in it, this is for you. This is an extremely erotic film. Unlike the usual pornographic material, "The Realm Of The Senses" portrays sexuality as we ourselves have experienced.
