BYUN Young-joo, the director who has endlessly observed and investigated the female, chose the 'passionate melodrama' as her first featured film debut. Her female characters differ a lot from the passive ones in other existing melodramas. "Illicit Affair" described by the female director who knows much about the female psychology, is a visualization of the female being true and beautiful to herself.
