ALTERNATE SYNOPSIS:
The chase is on. After thwarting the sinister plans of Shuuzan, Kagerou and Aoi have become fugitives. Not only are they being pursued by the Shinobi of Shiroyama, but now they must also escape assassins hailing from all the families of Iga. A conspiracy is at work. Once loyal comrades are now playing a deadly game of lies and deceit in order to gain power within the shifting hierarchy of the area. Surrounded by betrayal, Kagerou and Aoi are left to search for both the sincerity of their allegiances as well as asylum from their hunters. Such is the fate of Shinobi--and such are their lives as Runaways. |
