This film is about some psychopath who likes to mangle strippers' faces until they becomes an amorphous deformity. Some egotistical and cynical detective and an inane hot-ass reporter must find out who is responsible.

This is the final film (not counting "Blood Feast 2") directed by the godfather of gore (oh, how logical), Herschell Gordon Lewis. It is in fact his most extreme film, due to its level of gore and some nudity, which weren't commonplace in regular cinema in the early 70's. Where this film shines is the dark comedy. I was laughing at both the scenes that were meant to be funny and the ones that weren't. The best scene is when the killer used some kind of meat or flour tenderizer (I forgot the name) and started pounding this stripper's butt until it was gorier than hell. Afterwards he poured salt and pepper on her butt as some happy music was playing in the background. Freakin' hilarious!!!

Exploitation film lovers will of course love it, and I most certainly thought this was one of Herschell's best ever.

"The Gore Gore Girls" is a deliciously dark tale from "Master of Exploitative Horror On A Shoe-String Budget" Herschell Gordon Lewis. Frank Kress plays the anal-retentive Abraham Gentry, a private detective hired by a newspaper to find the killer of a stripper. He's accompanied by leggy Amy Farrell, an irritating but attractive sidekick. It's not long before the bodies start piling up as the killer's blood-lust continues.

It's difficult to believe that "The Gore Gore Girls" was passed uncut in the UK when "Blood Feast" had 23 seconds cut for "sexual violence". "The Gore Gore Girls" is probably Lewis' hardest offering in terms of on-screen violence. The gore is particularly over-the-top in this offering and it comes as no surprise that the censors came down hard on this film.

As a no-budget gem from the early '70s, I give this 3.5 stars. Viewers may be surprised to see Henny Youngman make an appearance as the strip club's Marzdone Mobilie.
