It's an okay movie. It's like a Japanese Troma Film. Very cartoonish with wild antics.

It features a lot of sports cliches like losers overcoming the odds and renegade players reluctantly joining the team. The big let down was the lack of baseball. I was expecting something along the lines of Mutant League Sports (old EA video games).

Instead it's anime style action on a baseball field. It's good but could be better.

This was truly funny. I love this film. I also own a lot of films that feature Tak Sakaguchi, so this fits well in my collection.

This is okay movie, but not as comical as it seems from the DVD cover. Shaolin Soccer is a much better movie.

Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. Parts of it are funny dumb (some hilariously funny dumb), but please be aware of the low budget nature of this film. It does what it can with its budget. The acting isn't too bad, nor is the direction, but it would have been nice to have a script. I would be hard pressed to recommend paying money for it. As a rental, you might not be too angry at the money you lost. Make sure to watch all the bonus features.
