Mei Ah presents the film in an aspect ratio of 1.78:1, with anamorphic enhancement. The transfer is suitably sharp and detailed with little print damage.

Audio options are Cantonese Dolby Digital 5.1, Cantonese DTS 5.1 and Mandarin Dolby Digital 5.1 but as I'm not equipped with such a system, my assessment of this disc aspect will be left off this review.

The English subtitles are practically flawless throughout, in terms of grammar and spelling and they flow very well. Traditional and simplified Chinese subtitles are also included.

Extras are limited to a basic Making Of (running 5 minutes 48 seconds and subtitled in Chinese only) that does stop to focus on the dual director issue, the trailer and the useless Databank.

Region: 0

Distributor: Mei Ah

Chapters: 6

Picture: A fine anamorphic print with sharp, crisp colours and natural skin-tones. Both night-time and day-time scenes have an impressive range of colours available and retain a superior resonance.

Main Menu Audio Setup

Sound: DTS/5.1 Cantonese or 5.1 Mandarin soundtracks with English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese subtitles (removable). The DTS track has that extra oomph over its 5.1 counterpart, though this film hardly stretches the surround set-up. The atmospheric effects used are nonetheless good when they do occur.

Trailers: The disc opens with a trailer for 'Colour Of Loyalty' and also has a trailer for the film itself on the main menu.

Extras: The pointless 'Data Bank' and a five minute 'Making Of' short that has no english subtitles.
