Tongyang's rickshaw business relies on muscle provided by a bandit, which is helpful since Tonyang intends to dominate the entire rickshaw market. His plan seems sure to succeed until the day comes that he involves a child in his dastardly deeds and someone dares to go against him. That someone is the kindly Lin Fung. Tongyang exacts revenge by trashing Lin Fung's home and kidnapping his wife. Lin Fung is faced with having to defend his personal honor and rescue his beloved wife by fighting against the brutish Tongyang as well as the powerful bandit.
