I just recently purchased and viewed Saulabi and all I can say is, "Give me a refund!" Although the basic storyline is quite interesting, Saulabi just seemed like a low budget, B-rated movie. I've seen better action sequences on American television shows. The acting was bland and generic. I felt as though I was watching a porno without sex scenes. Overall, I was quite disappointed with the film. While expecting an epic with excellent swordplay scenes, I ended up with a cornball, stale drama attempting to have action scenes.

What a mess!

Unimaginative directing, bad editing, inappropriate music, boring script... I still can't believe I paid to see that movie, which was supposed to attract western audiences to Korean films. With a story so confusing (except if you have studied Korean history), it's not surprising that I never heard of it before purchasing it.

Of course, not everything is bad in it. The acting is ok and the costumes and the settings are great. But does that make a good movie?
