Finally, a movie that is in support of teen pregnancy. This movie feels like such a schoolgirl's afternoon daydream that if the whole cast suddenly started singing about spaghetti, it wouldn't seem out of place.

Granted this is a romance comedy, so you see the guy doing things that would never happen in real life (tying the girl's shoes, answering all of her phone calls, not having eyes for other girls). And then there are some perfect moments that could only be scripted in a movie (a wedding in a school gym?). What's wild is how everyone is so okay with her raising a baby to term and not giving it up for adoption. The guy works extra hard, studies for a university and gets her food for her late night cravings. The girl has her sister and parents reluctantly going with it once they see she's set in her ways. An ass-whipping that's set to happen by the girl's parents onto the boy never occurs. With this type of absurdity, it helps make the movie's comedy easier to enjoy. In one scene they end up stranded on a fishing platform in the middle of a lake for a whole night. The guy tries to get the attention of a passing boat by lobbing his cell phone at it, only to watch it sink. And there's one nice scene in the park where they hide their kiss by holding up giant cotton candy funnels, only to realize everyone looking at them once they're done. Little scenes like these help the messed up premise work in a PG rated setting.

Warning: there is one scene where it shows what happens to a baby during an abortion through the lens of a sonogram.
