On June 16th, 1816 Percy Bysshe Shelly, his wife Mary and her stepsister Claire Clairmont visited eccentric poet Lord George Gordon Byron and his physician Dr. John Polidari at Byron's Swiss villa of Diodati. After much drinking of the opium-based laudanum the group holds a seance to confront their deepest fears.
