| Overview: | Ghosthouse is a chilling haunted house tale with twists and turns that'll keep you guessing. It has many effective scare scenes and a twisted musical hymn, that will send chills down your spine for sure. The film also boasts some rather gruesome deaths especially the guillotine! This movie certainly surpasses its expectations and deserves to be seen.
For fans this is hugely enjoyable and refreshingly different from the normal haunted house films. Watch for when Tina is cut in half, when Jim gets it in the neck with the fan blade, the blood pouring from the taps, the stroppy teenage girl with a face like a slapped arse, the ghostly bedroom vortex where the heroine finds herself besieged by swarming Easter bunny decorations, and of course The Clown.
Lenzi throws in the kitchen sink - every last genre trapping is there somewhere - gleefully grabbing tidbits from every horror film imaginable like a magpie on acid, and chucking 'em all into the pot.
