Plot:	Little known Ann Hui adaptation of Louis Cha's famous first novel The Book & The Sword. To date, this marks Hui's only foray into martial arts action. The sequel, "Princess Fragrance", was shot the same year.
Overview:	The Safflower society avowed to Anti-Ching dynasty movement, Yu Man-ting was killed by Emperor Qinlong. Chan Kar-lok succeeded to be the chief of the society, and lead his comrades to rescue Min Tai-loi. However, they could not find Min but helped one of the Istamic Chief to recover a sacred copy of Koran and saved his daughter Jade Plume. Chan met the emperor at Hangchow by chance and tricked him by inviting him to West Lake...
