Technical Notes:The Silent Swordsman [IVL]

Celestial Pictures and IVL have released another adequate title. The film is, of course, fully restored and remastered. Video quality is excellent and the original Mandarin audio has been remixed with the usual ambient sound effects that most purists will find annoying. The music doesn’t have the noticeable synth remixing though, which I personally find far more obtrusive. Removable English subtitles are easy to read and fairly well written.
Standard bonus features include newly-made SB trailers, movie stills, original poster art, lousy production notes, and basic profiles of four leading cast members and the director.
