Not that great since the pacing is slow and the action is low. Also, the action doesn't pick up until the end, but it's still entertaining. I recommend Kitamura's other films such as "Versus", "Azumi", or "Aragami" instead.

From the director of Versus comes this bland and bizarre sci-fi. It ultimately made little sense and culminated in a ridiculous Matrix-style battle.

Conceptually, there are some good ideas represented here... the execution is lacking. Interesting to watch, but I couldn't go so far as to call it good.

I did not find "Alive" quite as exhilarating as "Versus," but it is a well made, entertaining film worth 4/5 stars. Many of Kitamura's films are well-suited to sequels, and this cries out for one.

Y	I havn't seen this for awhile but remember thinking it was pretty decent enjoying the reunion of director, Ryuhei Kitamura and his two "Versus" stars, Tak Sakaguchi and Hideo Sakaki	AH1706

Not exactly what I expected. Very slow. Drawn out until the very end. The fight scenes at the end were very good, though, I must admit. But they could have picked up the pace.

A mind-warping and suspenseful sci-fi thriller with cool visual effects and some very kinetic action scenes. Nice job Kit!
