Picture: This non-anamorphic remaster is an impressive release for two reasons. Firstly, the print has been cleaned of its scratches and smears. Colours have been tweaked giving scenes a vibrant look that really benefit the film. There are a few subtitle errors that do detract from the other good work, but the picture is mostly sharp which is perhaps the most important thing. Secondly, this is a ridiculously cheap release considering the admirable work done on it.

Sound: Mono Cantonese or Mandarin soundtracks with English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese subtitles (removable). A quiet, muted track that makes the soundtrack quite indistinct. Dialogue is adequate, but still lacking in clarity.

Extras: A 'Photo Gallery' and 'Stars' Files' for Michael Hui, Sandra Ng and Alfred Cheung.
