Fun Cheng Pei-Pei sword-fu epic. I always love the kung-fu movies that go to exotic places and have wilder plots and this one serves up both. "The Dragon Swamp" feels like an alien world and the plot is full of double crossing and magic which makes it more than the usual kung-fu movie. The nice thing about Cheng Pei-Pei movies is that you're always guaranteed a great movie, and this one is another in the long line of her movies that I have enjoyed. Very entertaining martial arts movie. A must for all Cheng Pei-Pei fans. Actually, we get a double-take of CPP as she plays the roles of mother and daughter. The action is very good. Mostly a swords movie. Plenty of action. Some wiring work but nothing unusual for a Shaw movie of this time. Maybe not as great as COME DRINK WITH ME, but very entertaining. The sets are beautiful! Great performances by CPP, Yueh Hua and Lo Lieh as the villain. Don't hesitate to buy or at least rent this movie.
