| Plot: | On a mist-shrouded rig in the sea, beyond a minefield, Krank ages prematurely because he lacks one vital function: the ability to dream. And so he kidnaps children from the harbour town, to steal their dreams.
|
| Overview: | Provocative fantasy about a wicked scientist (Emilfork) who is unable to dream, and who goes about purloining children--with the help of remarkable ``cloned'' henchmen--and invading their dreams. Although dramatically uneven, this mix of Oliver Twist and BRAZIL is a marvel of production design, with sumptuous visuals and painstaking invention. The voice of Irvin, the disembodied brain, is provided by Jean-Louis Trintignant. From the directors of DELICATESSEN.
