As "The Battle of Britain" was being fought over in the skies of southern England, an invasion force was being assembled on the other side of the Channel. This, the true story of the bravery and determination of the outnumbered pilots of the Royal Air Force, is told by the men of the 501 Squadron. Pilots such as Sgt. "Ginger" Lacey, one of Fighter Command's "top scorers" and K.W. Mackenzie, who took a German Messerschmitt Bf109 out of the sky rather than let it escape. A story of daring bravery, camaraderie and humor even in the darkest times, "I Was There...The Battle Of Britain" is a gripping tale of their finest hour.
