| Overview: | UNDER EASTERN SKIES:
"Airborne: Under Eastern Skies" explores the ongoing evolution of the paratrooper after World War II. Covering everything between the Korean War in the 1950s to British SAS involvement in the Falkland Islands during the 1980s, "Under Easter Skies" explores airborne from the American, British, French, and Russian perspectives. Through any weather, terrain, or circumstance, these units proved to possess the qualities of bravery, strength, and fortitude that have become so typical of the airborne.
DESTINATION BERLIN:
"Destination Berlin" follows the journey of the airborne soldier in the latter years of World War II. Already well established during the first few years of the war, the use of airborne soldiers by the Americans and British continued as these units infiltrated enemy lines to break communications, rescue hostages, and cause general havoc. Battles in Normandy, Holland, and Germany were areas in which the airborne shined, due in large part to the large volumes of sky present in those areas. These are the airborne soldiers who established the traditions of sacrifice, courage, and valor that continue with modern day airborne units.
