This is the true story of Operation Dynamo, told by the people who were there facing air bombs and withstanding the vicious bombardment from the mainland. An ambitious plan was born and in the dead of night, the Royal Navy escorted a flotilla of boats to the coasts of south England. Over seven days and nights, 338,226 men were evacuated from the beaches of Dunkirk. 222 naval vessels and 665 civilian craft continuously ferried between Dunkirk and the British coast. This is their courageous and compelling story...the REAL story.
