Plot:	A goddess falls in love with a young scholar and gives birth to a baby son. Fourteen years later the son seeks to unravel the mystery behind his mysterious mother and the mythical lotus lamp.
Overview:	Movie queen Linda Lin Dai plays both mother and son in this fanciful fable. Linda is a goddess who falls in love with a young scholar (Cheng Pei-Pei, in her debut role) and gives birth to a baby son. Fast forward fourteen years, and the son (played by Linda Lin Dai) seeks to unravel the mystery behind his mysterious mother and the mythical lotus lamp. The lavish production took over two years to complete and was not released until the first anniversary of Linda's tragic suicide.
