Not Sammo's best but a fairly enjoyable fick. The story is all over the place but the fights are pretty solid, including a really nice square off between Sammo and Lau Kar Wing. If you go into this thinking it's a buddy cop flick, I think you'll enjoy it. And Karl Maka isn't as bad as some have said.

Sammo, Karl Maka, and Lau Kar Wing team up for this enjoyable cop-buddy-action-comedy from the tail end of the Cinema City days. And while not a flawless effort, it is a fun, fight-filled ride nonetheless.

The movie takes several cues from various cop classics, like "Running Scared", "Lethal Weapon", "The Untouchables", and others, mixing it with HK action and comedy into a delightful blend. Involving funny chase scenes, cute girls, transvestite killers, and Sammo's hilarious Bruce Lee impression.

The comedy works well and is pretty funny throughout. Sammo rarely fails to make me laugh. And while Karl Maka's comedic stylings might be an aquired taste, I've personally always enjoyed his manic, Louis DeFunés-like persona, from the "Aces Go Places" series and onwards. I do, however, feel that the vacation scenes in Singapore slow the flow of the film and feel a little tacked on. But again, any chance to see Sammo dance should not be missed.

The fight choreo is vintage Sammo: poweful, pre-eminent, perfect. The stick fighting is especially tight. And whenever Sammo squares off against Lau Kar Wing, you can count me in.

This may not be Sammo's most memorable movie, but it is still a lot of fun and definitely recommended for fans of the chubby maestro and his special brand of action hijinx.

YI agree with everything you said Jay, but don't be so cheap with the stars! I think this is a 4 star effort from Sammo.William Giordanella

Fun buddy cop movie. Sammo Hung does what he does best, that is beating the living hell out of all the bad guys in Hong Kong; and Karl Maka does what he does best, run his mouth. It is definitely in the late 80s early 90s buddy cop mold, and it follows the plot formula to the letter: cops fight ruthless bad guy, cops get in trouble, bad guy goes after families, cops get revenge. While it isn't anything new, Sammo Hung and Karl Maka really make it a fun time.

Rubbish story, keep your finger on the fast forward key, but we all get kung fu DVD for one reason: kick ass. Yeah, Sammo does what he does best: beat the crap out bad guys. It would be an 5 out 5, if they get rid of that annoying bald guy. Other than that, great film!

My favorite Sammo Hung movie. Brillant fight scenes, and good humor.

One of Sammo's most underrated movies. Sammo and Karl Maka show great chemistry together, watch for the great fight scene with Lau kar-wing.
