ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:
Known as a screenwriter who has served Korean movies since his start thirteen years ago as an assistant to director JUNG Ji-young, PARK Jung-ho makes his directorial debut with his new film "DANCE WITH THE WIND". He stands before us with a dramatic film, when his brilliant earlier work was based in comedy. That shows his confidence, just like his slogan, "If I couldn't shock the world, I wouldn't have come out."

Beginning in the early 1990s when he was still a director's assistant, he wrote scripts with an eye to becoming a director. Above all, his writing talents led to his record of success in exceeding 10 million admissions for his projects to date. He touches the hearts of audiences with his imagination, wit and instinct for the use of sarcasm and humor, as shown in "ATTACK THE GAS STATION", "KICK THE MOON", "BREAK OUT", and "JAIL BREAKERS".

He is one of the most well known screenwriters but now he stands in front of audiences as a director. This film is unlike any of his earlier comedy movies and other dance movies. He guarantees that this movie will blow a new wind into the Korean film industry.

PRODUCTION NOTES:

Wherever they dance, that's the dancefloor! The movie ripens with each dance step.

"DANCE WITH THE WIND" steps all across the country, showing beautiful places along with a man's life of dance. The scenes of Poongshik setting off to learn dancing from little-known maestros throughout the country are filmed at major attractions in Gangwon province. At the Daegwanryung open ? which is filmed 1,400 meters above sea level, he masters the quickstep. At the oldest mine in Cheolarm, he becomes a pupil of a miner and studies the cha-cha. In the Heungkuk Temple at Taebaek Mountain, he is initiated to the paso doble by a monk. And at the light house at Daejin harbor, he learns the waltz.Yet their journey is not over. The staff had a hard time choosing a location for the most fantastic and beautiful dance scene in the movie, and they found their answer in Hong Kong. The very last dance unfolds on an exotic night with an emotional view of Hong Kong.

People who are madly in love with dancing...They are just so beautiful!

The dancers' experiences in "DANCE WITH THE WIND" are very dramatic and uncommon, just like the movie itself. KWON Shari, who was responsible for dance composition in the movie, is a dance instructor and former professional dancer. She quit her earlier job because of her deep love for dancing and traveled around the world to learn to become a professional dancer. She is a genuine maestro.
