Overview:	A married 18 year-old maintains his wife and little child by selling his body to men on New York's streets. One day, his wife wakes him up and exhorts him to work more in order to gain the extra money she needs for her friend's abortion (which was still illegal then). As she prepares his clean underpants he plays with his little child, naked. Out on the streets he is picked up by all sorts of men: young, middle-aged and elderly. One of them asks him to pose nude, imitating famous classical statues which he actually resembles. Other encounters take place in public toilets and hotel rooms. He finds some time to pay a visit to two transvestites who observe him as he is given a blow job by one of his ex girlfriend's. Returning home, he finds his wife and her pregnant friend in bed together. However, in a world that has been permeated by a new sexual freedom, in which nobody and nothing really matters, he acts as if everything is normal, at least preserving his dignity. None of the relationships he takes part in or witnesses seem to affect him.
