 | | | | I dont know why I like this film. I honestly couldn't say, but I kind of do. I dont like everything about it mind you. I could do without the weird dream sequences, the cartoonish comedy bits and Joey Yung's excruciatingly annoying acting. I've always liked the chemistry between Nic Tse and Stephen Fung, and it works well here too. The fighting is a bit flashy and stylistic, with no shortage of wire assistance. But Ching Siu Tung does it well, so it fits the film. I enjoy Wong Jing's adolescent antics from time to time. And despite the minor gripes mentioned above, This movie was one of those times. | | AGREE? | READER COMMENTS | AUTHOR | | Y | I agree you were right on with this review. | JV47842 | | Y | I agree, there is some elements to this movie that you can't help but dig. It reminds me of anime that I have seen. I probably would have gave it a 3.5 stars but I agree with all the points you made. | Bastard Ronin | | N | | mike lee |

 | | | | The 2 main characters--Stone and Edward--are both starred by extremely talented stars--Stone: Nicholas Tse, and Edward: Stephen Fung. My School Mate The Barbarian not only talks about school fighting, but also about friendship and family relationships. It is a very good movie and I enjoyed watching it so much. I really don't know how many times I've seen it already, maybe around 10 times already. Even if you don't like the fighting and everything, you can still look at the talented acts of Nicholas Tse and Stephen Fung. MY SCHOOL MATE THE BARBARIAN ROCKS!!! | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | [This film is] action packed and it shows you the evolving friendship between Stephen Fung and Nicholas Tse. However, this movie does not compare too 2002. Joey Yung's character was stupid and pointless. Better off without her. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |
