Great movies will make us think about life. This movie, also known as "Memories Of Yesterday," is one of those. The main character, while going on vacation from Tokyo to the farmland, finds her mind filled with thoughts of the events that occured back when she was in the 5th grade. The movie moves easily back and forth between the present and her past. She cannot stop thinking about the 5th grade and how the choices she made and the choices others made for her affected her life today. Boys and girls, men and women, should all see a part of our own lives in these childhood events. The viewers will truly find themselves thinking about their 5th grade experiences and the relationships they have formed or failed to form. Superb! |
